What vector conversion costs in 2026. Vector conversion prices, side by side.

Having a person redraw a logo as a vector file costs from under $5 to $175 at published prices, checked 22 October 2026. Most services price by complexity, so a one-color wordmark sits at the bottom of each range and a shaded, detailed mark at the top. Fiverr's best-selling gigs start at $5 to $20 for a basic package, and Upwork's own guide puts a single logo conversion at $50 to $100. VectorWiz charges $19 / $57 / $114 / $190 by complexity. The spread comes from what the price includes: who draws the file, how fast, how many revisions, and whether it is built to cut, print or stitch.

Chart of published per-logo price ranges from five vector conversion services, Fiverr and Upwork, checked 22 October 2026

Ask five vector conversion services to redraw the same logo and the quotes can differ by a factor of thirty. That is not because one of them is wrong. They are selling different things under the same name. Below are the prices each company publishes, read from its own site on 22 October 2026, and the questions that explain the gap.

Published prices, side by side

Each service grades artwork into tiers, from a simple one-color mark to a detailed illustration. The table lists the tiers in that order. Turnaround and revisions are quoted the way each company states them, not as tested.

Automatic tracers are a different product, priced by subscription rather than per file. Vectorizer.AI's web app is $9.99 a month. Vector Magic is $5.99 a month online or $295 for the desktop license. No person looks at the file, which is the whole reason they cost so little.

Why the same logo can cost $5 or $175

Five things move the price, and every one of them shows up in the file you get back.

  • Who draws it. A designer rebuilding the paths is slower and costs more than an engine tracing the pixels. The engine copies whatever is in the source, including blur, compression blocks and jagged edges.
  • How the complexity is graded. A wordmark and a shaded mascot are different jobs. A service with one flat price either overcharges for the simple jobs or rushes the hard ones.
  • How fast. Guaranteed same-day or 12-hour work needs people on shift. A quote-first service that sets the date later can charge less because it controls the queue.
  • What happens when it is wrong. Unlimited revisions to the agreed artwork are common. A promise to redo a file that does not cut, print or stitch is not.
  • What it is built for. A file for a website only has to look right on screen. A file for vinyl, screen print, embroidery or CNC needs closed paths, outlined type, a sensible node count and true spot colors.

When the cheapest option is the right one

If the logo is simple, the source is sharp, and the file is going on a website, a slide or a social post, you do not need a production redraw. A paid tracer or a basic marketplace gig will usually get you something usable, and paying more buys you little you will ever see.

The math changes when the file goes to a machine. A cutter follows every node, a screen separates every color it is given, and a digitizer works from the shapes you send. A trace that looked fine on screen can cost a sheet of vinyl, a set of screens or a rerun of the job. At that point the cheapest file is the one you only pay for once. Why a hand rebuild beats auto-trace covers the difference in detail.

Where VectorWiz sits

VectorWiz is not the cheapest name in the table, and it does not try to be. Every file is redrawn by an in-house designer, graded into one of four complexity tiers, and priced at $19 / $57 / $114 / $190. You see the tier and the price after upload, before you pay. Standard delivery is 24 hours, revisions are unlimited, and if a delivered file does not cut, print or stitch correctly it is redrawn at no cost. Customers rate the studio 4.7★ across 23 reviews on Google and Trustpilot.

Shops that send files every week usually move to a monthly plan, where the same jobs are paid in credits and cost less per file than one-off orders. Plans start at $399 a month.

Six questions to ask before you compare quotes

  1. Is the file redrawn by a person, traced by software, or traced and then checked?
  2. Which tier will my file be, and what does that tier's description cover?
  3. Is the turnaround a guarantee, an estimate, or set after the quote?
  4. Are revisions included, and is there a remake if the file fails on the machine?
  5. Which formats come back: AI, EPS, SVG, PDF, DXF?
  6. Is it prepared for my process: vinyl, screen print, embroidery, CNC or large-format print?

Two quotes that answer those six questions the same way are worth comparing on price. Two that answer them differently are not the same product.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to vectorize a logo?

Published prices for a person to redraw a logo run from under $5 to $175 for the most detailed tier. Most services price by complexity: a one-color wordmark sits at the bottom of each range, a shaded or highly detailed mark at the top. Upwork's own guide puts a single logo conversion at $50–$100. At VectorWiz it is $19 / $57 / $114 / $190 by complexity, shown before checkout.

Why are Fiverr gigs so much cheaper?

A Fiverr "from" price is the seller's basic package, usually for a simple file, and each seller sets it. On 22 October 2026 the best-selling vector tracing gigs started at $5 to $65, most at $5 to $20. Detailed artwork, extra formats and faster delivery are priced as add-ons, and what you get depends on the seller you pick.

Is an automatic vectorizer good enough?

Sometimes. For a clean, high-contrast logo going on a website or a screen, a paid tracer such as Vectorizer.AI or Vector Magic can be enough, and it is the cheapest option per file. It is not enough when the file has to cut, stitch or print at size: a trace follows every artifact in the source, and a cutter follows every node in the trace.

What decides which complexity tier my logo falls into?

Mostly the number of colors and shapes, small text, gradients or shading, and how damaged the source is. Each service draws the lines a little differently, so compare the description of a tier rather than its name. VectorWiz shows the tier and the price after upload, before you pay.
