What fills the head
The outer shape is a head in profile. Inside it, small figures, a bird, a house, a maze, and flowers share the same silhouette. The overlaps between those interior shapes are the press problem.
What was redrawn
The silhouette and the interior scene were redrawn as closed regions so the colors can be held apart. Apparel shops with a filled shape like this start at VectorWiz's silhouette bench.
