The best vector conversion services, compared on what they publish Compared on what each service publishes.

For production files (signs, screen print, laser, CNC, embroidery prep), choose a service that draws by hand, publishes its price and turnaround, and fixes files that fail on your machine. A service that runs files through a tracer is cheaper per file but closer to auto-trace. Marketplaces like Upwork and Fiverr can be cheaper or better, depending on who you hire. VectorWiz is the pick if you order regularly and want a fixed 24-hour turnaround and the same standard on every file. If you only need the occasional simple one-color logo, several services below cost less.

How we compared them

Five things a shop can check before sending a file:

  • Hand-drawn or traced: does the service say a designer draws the file, or that a tracing engine makes it?
  • Published price: can you see the price before you send anything?
  • Published turnaround: is there a stated delivery time, or is it set per quote?
  • Failure at the machine: is there a stated guarantee or revision policy?
  • Who it's built for: promo distributors, sign and laser shops, or one-off buyers.

Which one fits your job

  • One simple one-color logo at the lowest price: Vector Factory (most simple images $5–$12), Impact Digitizing (from $7) and Cre8iveSkill (from $8) publish the lowest prices. VectorWiz starts at $19, so we're not the cheapest choice for this job.
  • You want to see the file before paying: VectoSolve's done-for-you service shows a watermarked preview first. VectorWiz shows the price before you pay, but not the file.
  • Plasma or CNC, and you want G-code too: VectoSolve's Production tier includes G-code. VectorWiz delivers DXF, not G-code.
  • You're a promo distributor needing a full art department: Camera Ready Art is built around distributors, with packages and dedicated plans.
  • Technical line drawings from product photos: Vector Conversions shows this as a speciality.
  • A regular flow of production files with a fixed turnaround: this is what VectorWiz is built for. Every file is hand-drawn and checked by a second designer, delivered in 24 hours (12 on rush), backed by a 100% remake guarantee, unbranded so you can resell it, with monthly plans when volume grows.
  • Ongoing design work beyond vectors: hiring a designer on Upwork makes more sense.

Hand-drawn vs traced: why it matters for production

Traced output follows the pixels, so it carries extra points and slightly wobbly curves, and it needs checking before it cuts. A service that checks its traced files is a real step up from an unchecked online tracer.

A hand redraw rebuilds the shapes as the designer intended them. That matters most for lettering, thin strokes and color separations, where a traced edge shows up in the finished product.

We measured the difference on a real production logo: the auto-trace node-count benchmark.

When an AI tool is enough

Vectorizer.AI and Vector Magic are tools, not services: you upload, and software returns the vector. For a simple, high-contrast logo going on a screen, that can be enough. For a cutter, a press or an embroidery digitizer, check the result before it reaches the machine.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best vector conversion service?

There isn't one best service for every job. Use the five checks above. For regular production work, choose a hand-drawn service with a published turnaround and a guarantee. For a single simple logo, a lower-priced service is fine.

Are cheap vector conversion services hand-drawn?

Some say they are: Vector Factory and Cre8iveSkill both state manual work. Others run the file through a tracing engine and check the result. Read how each service says it makes the file.

How long should vector conversion take?

Published times on this list run from 12 hours to 48 hours, and some services set the date on each quote. VectorWiz delivers in 24 hours as standard, or 12 hours on rush.

Is it cheaper to hire a freelancer?

Sometimes. Platform fees apply on top: on Upwork's Basic plan, a 5% marketplace fee plus a contract fee of $0.99 to $14.99. Quality depends on who you hire.
